Guests: My Answer 2: Open/Closed – An answer to Beverly Liston's inquiry re where MB stands on "the original split".

History: John Nelson Darby: An Unfriendly Appraisal
This 1885 article pretends "to show" JND's "influence at a great religious crisis, and to explain the origin of his followers", but it lacks objectivity and is marked by veiled hostilty and misinterpretation. Nevertheless it is valuable for its analysis of both the religious and secular character of the times. Please read the 'Introduction', and the notes.

Ministry: J. N. Darby – Added a further early and important article: Separation from Evil God's Principle of Unity which still comes under severe criticism from many – some of whom do not appear to have read it. Guests: My Stand 3: Ministry of C. A. Coates – A reply to Bernt Lindberg, Sweden, regarding an email he received "citicising your website for mentioning CAC whose ministry the author considers misleading and blasphemous".

History: The Parting of the Ways – 1960's – This new page has 12 letters of withdrawal. Following the London 1959 meetings and the emergence and rapid dominance of the legal party, the writers – along with many others – withdrew in order to maintain a good conscience before God.

Ministry: J. Taylor 2 – This new page has an early landmark reading The House of God and the Gospel, first in the series at Chicago 1904-05, which called "attention to the church, as established at the beginning in the power of the Holy Ghost, as a practical sphere of protection and blessing for man".

Ministry: G. R. Cowell - Early 3 – Added a fine address on The Gittith Psalms, the 'pressure' psalms. "All pressure is intended to lead to praise, whatever form it takes", GRC.

Guests: My Answer 3: The Pressure of Modern Life A reply to Joshua Cade who is looking for a way of escape from the materialistic slavery and rat race of modern life and is there-fore interested in strict codes of conduct and self-discipline.

Guests: My Answer 3: The Breaking of Bread: May an Unbeliever Attend the Meeting? A reply to Percy Struthers who asks "whether it is permissible to have an unbeliever attend the breaking of bread meeting, that is to be in the same room as believers … to attend the meeting at all".

Guests: My Answer 3: Finding a Suitable Fellowship A reply to Cecil Weston who faces a dilemma: "I have been mourn-fully walking among open brethren for several years and still am, at the same time never ceasing to request of our Lord to furnish me with a fellowship suitable to Himself".

Poetry: Retrospect – This new page has 24 poems – 21 by Laurie Twinam, an old and valued friend. Most were written in the early 1970's, and poignantly express the exercises and sorrows of that very troubled time and the preceding years.

Home Page: So You've Left the Jims? Written some 30 years ago, this article by Laurie Twinam still offers good counsel to those who have only recently left that system.

Doctrine: Eternal Life – This new page opens up what JND calls "the out-of-the-world heavenly condition of relationship and being in which eternal life consists". This teaching – valued by some but still refused by many – is outlined in extracts and letters by AJG, JND, JBS, FER, and CAC.

Doctrine: The Collection – This new page briefly reviews the exercises and procedure regarding the special collection, in two letters of J. Taylor and an article by E. J. Hemmings.
