I'm so confused. I'm college-aged and so have no idea about these situations you refer to.
- I got a link to this site from plymouthbrethren.com [Stephen Hesterman's site], which also referred to situations.
- Mostly, the use of abbreviations and whatnot has completely confused me.
I am from an assembly (open, I guess) and am extremely interested in the history of the brethren (as I have received no training on such matters).
- I do know there are different groups (open, closed), but am wondering as to the difference.
- You seem to refer to the open as having serious scriptural problems and I'm wondering what these are.
- I read the "So you left the Jims" thing, but don't know what the "Jims" is referring to!
Anyways, any help would be greatly appreciated.

My brethren,
I have read some 2/3 of the web site, yet I have been unable to identify your Christian gathering.
- I had fellowship with Bible Chapels in Eastern Canada, and when I moved to Toronto was in fellowship in Gospel Halls;
- I roomed with a friend who grew up in the Needed Truth movement, yet you appear to be none of these gatherings.
- I am aquainted with a man in Dartmouth NS who is in another meeting, that for lack of a better terminology, I shall call the Kelly group; yet you are
not of this group, for you have not Kelly's writings and I've read why.
- I would very much like to know what meeting you are if this could be described in some few words, or many if neccessary.
I have gained much profit and insight from your web site and share much common doctrine.
- I have had many theological struggles in the past few years, and have experienced much profit from the writings of JND and many others.
When I was in Toronto I had acquired a recorded booklet of Scripture readings with JT, C.A Coates and others and it was amazing,
- yet I acquired through my earlier mentioned friend, who to my knowledge was from the Needed Truth movement.
- Could you please help my confusion?
I continue in blessed fellowship in a local assembly in Owen Sound, though not any of the afforementioned gatherings.
- I do thank you for any kindness you would bestow upon me, and do pray much blessed fellowship in your meetings.

- I left the 'Jims' in 1965 about the time of the Dorking Halls meetings and subsequent newspaper coverage of events there and the meeting with Gresham Cooke which never took place. I am now 70 years of age.
